|Hot off the heels of her highly successful European tour earlier this year, Karen Lovely brings her fourth studio album to the table. “Fish Outta Water” features 12 tracks of all new original contemporary blues, roots, soul, and Americana. Produced, engineered and mixed by Eric Corne and mastered by Eric with Mark Chalecki, the recording has a smorgasbord of instrumentation ranging from the usual to the slightly unexpected – marimba, steel drums, and the like.
Karen Lovely shot onto the blues scene out of the Pacific Northwest like “Stack O’ Lee’s .44” placing second at the 2010 International Blues Challenge followed by three 2011 Blues Music Award Nominations (BMA) for Best Contemporary Blues Female Artist, Best Contemporary Blues Album and Best Song for her sophomore recording “Still The Rain.”
With the release of her third studio album “Ten Miles Of Bad Road,” produced by Grammy award-winner, Tony Braunagel, Lovely established herself as a singer/songwriter with a style uniquely her own, receiving a BMA nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Female Artist and a 2016 Blues Blast Music Award nominee for Female Blues Artist. She also won a 2015 Blues411 “Jimi” Award for “Best Contemporary Blues Female Artist and the album was selected by DownBeat as one of the Best of 2016.
Lovely is a two-time “#1 Pick to Click” artist on SiriusXM Radio’s Bluesville and was selected as a 2014 Featured Blues Artist of the Year by KJZZ in Los Angeles. Her albums have topped the national blues and roots charts and made the Top 10 favorite artist lists of many nationally syndicated radio stations.
